These wines seek to show the extraordinary potential of Argentina's great variety of terroirs and how it translates into our flagship variety. It is an expression of Trapiche's main pillar: richness in diversity. Since its early days, Trapiche has made extensive forays into terroirs that offer extraordinary potential for the crafting of unique wines, following a philosophy inspired by the richness of diversity. The Trapiche Terroir Series’ concept, which started with the 2003 harvest, turned into a story. Each year Trapiche’s Chief Winemaker, Daniel Pi, and his team, select the three best Malbec wines from exceptional vineyards, to communicate Trapiche’s essence: the richness of diversity. There are hundreds of grape growers working closely with our viticultural team to complement the production of our own vineyards. The possibility of obtaining our ultra-premium grapes from such a diversity of places is one of our most valuable assets. This concept also represents Trapiche’s tribute to the grape growers who deliver their premium grapes and give identity to the wines. These particular vines are grown on sandy soils with calcareous gravel to a plant density of 2500 per hectare & the vines follow a North-South orientation.
