An extraordinary wine produced from 8 small plots of ancient, mainly pre-phylloxera vines (many well over 100 years old). Fermentation and ageing in new French oak for 8 months results in a seamless and vibrant mix. Rich and nutty on the nose, and likewise on the palate really honeyed and creamy with lots of tangy stone fruit and citrus, a touch herbaceous with real zest. Incredible length the oak beautifully integrated and fresh acidity running through giving it perfect balance. Long and amazingly complex.
