The 2023 vintage was marked by a long heatwave at the end of August. Fruit set in June was excellent due to perfect weather throughout the month, but the heat that followed brought challenges to the vineyard. Careful canopy management was necessary to allow the grapes to fully ripen. The fruit for this wine benefited from the higher altitude, which brought cool nights. This allowed the fruit to gain balance despite the extreme heat.
A delicious oak aged blend of Viura, Garnacha Blanco, Maturana Blanco, Tempranillo Blanco, Turruntés, Malvasia
A vibrant wine with great acidity and freshness, serious, clean, with integrated oak. Tangy with peach and citrus fruit, hints of orange/mandarin too, creamy mid palate with toasty nutty oak. Lovely glass of wine that in this youthful stage evolves beautifully in the glass, becoming smoky, nutty, peachy and spicy, with good acidity keeping it clean and balanced.
