We really liked the purity of these wines from André Robert.
The house style is to pick grapes at perfect maturation and to ferment natu-rally. They choose to block the malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the freshness of the Champagne. The base wine is matured for an extended period in barrels or tanks for around 10 months.
The wine is made from 50% stainless steel vats. The other part is vinified in small 228 liter barrels.
"Les Jardins du Mesnil" is a blend of the different plots of Chardonnay that we have at "Le Mesnil sur Oger". The plains, the heart of the Terroir and the Haut coteaux. The base of the wines is 2015. The dosage of 5G / L
"Based on the 2015 vintage, complemented by some 20% reserve wines from 2014, the NV Brut Nature Les Jardins du Mesnil was disgorged in February 2021. Exhibiting aromas of citrus zest, nougat, white flowers and wet stones, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and precise, with lively acids and a seamless profile, complemented by an attractive pinpoint mousse."
