These extraordinary, benchmark wines from Alvaro Palacios and his nephew Ricardo Pérez Palacios are just being released and will be shipped October 2024.

All are offered 'In Bond' in case sizes of 1, 3 or 6 bottles.

Álvaro Palacios, the former Decanter Man of the Year, is renowned for elevating Priorat's status in the world of fine wine, particularly with his acclaimed single-vineyard L’Ermita. Hailing from a prestigious winemaking background in Rioja, Palacios ventured to Bordeaux to study winemaking, including a stint at Château Pétrus in Pomerol. In 1989, he partnered with Rene Barbier to establish a winery in the overlooked Priorat region of Spain, using old-vine Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cariñena on steep slate slopes, along with modern techniques, to craft exceptional wines. Palacios expanded his portfolio to include both blended and single-vineyard wines. Beyond Priorat, he co-founded Descendientes de J Palacios in Bierzo with his nephew Ricardo Pérez and revitalized family holdings in Rioja, showcasing his pioneering spirit and commitment to producing world-class wines across Spain.
