blank-canvas-tano-chardonnay-2024
Blank Canvas 'Tano' Chardonnay 2024

The hand-picked Chardonnay was gently whole-bunch pressed with the unsettled free-run juice filled to one once-used and one new botte (a large Italian 25 hectolitre barrel), with the remainder going into small French oak puncheons. It was slowly fermented on full solids using indigenous yeast before going to natural malolactic fermentation and maturing on lees for a total of 19 months to gain richness and complexity. The wine was then gently racked and bottled without filtration. The nose features intense aromas of grapefruit, white florals,
hazelnut, and a savoury musk. Pure, vibrant acidity lifts the palate thanks to the cool, coastal vineyard, and the wine unfolds with layers of grapefruit, lemon citrus, and hazelnut.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0731/8388/7652/files/blankcanvastani__250x500_0a2d4014-1c45-4c09-81fb-1bfa9e008297.png?v=1793372501
