Wildeberg 'Coterie' Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc
Wildeberg’s rationale is to source the finest vineyards available to us across Franschhoek and the Coastal Region .Semillon barrel fermented in 600 litre French and Austrian oak for 10 months. Sauvignon blanc fermented in stainless steel and kept on the gross lees for 10 months. Hand-harvested and naturally-fermented. 80/20 blend in favour of Semillon. A lovely complex wine, you think its going to be fresh and crisp - it has quite a floral nose, with some honeyed yet fresh stone and citrus fruit and herbaceous characters also some smokey slightly funky notes. Textural and quite creamy, and long and just delicious. Grassy and fresh with great depth. A touch richer and maybe more complex than the 2019, certainly bigger. Lovely !
