Rafael Palacios 'Louro' Godello
It's Godello from high altitude vineyards with a little Treixadura and aged in a variety of oaks. Ripe pear on the nose, some spice and oak too. Really fresh as just released, spiced pear and peach with ripe citrus, spice and nutty oak. Really quite rich and complex with a nice core of limey acidity keeping it fresh and balanced, minerally too. Long and with freshness and delicate oak. Trying the 2019 last night too, makes it apparent that the wine does age, and even 12 months makes a difference. This may have the edge on the 2019 as it really is delicious now!
