Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This famous old Napa winery, has under the Gallo ownership returned to it's former glory. A recent trip to California showed that this is a serious winery making great wines, and thankfully some top wines that are great value when compared to many other similar quality Californian wines. This is a richer, bigger, sweeter wine than the 2017 Sonoma Cabernet we are listing. Dense cassis, oak, a touch of spice too on the nose. Rich and full on the palate with lovely sweet cassis, blackberry, morello cherry, toasty oak, liquorice, cedar and dried herbs on the finish. A really great example of Napa Cab, it shows lots of typicity and regionality and a great price for this quality - c£22 which is a bargain. Great with aged steak and lamb chops on the bbq.
