Les Volets Pinot Noir Pays d'Oc IGP
The grapes get the heat the day, but being at altitude in the Pyrenees foothills benefit from the cooler nights allowing longer ripening of the grapes. Bright red berry fruit on an attractive nose, cherry and raspberry on the palate with a touch of dried herb, hints of spice and a lively crunchy finish. Served cool this is a lovely example and way better than many Bourgogne Pinot Noir's at significantly more money. Juicy and really very attractive. Great with white and red meats and also Mediterranean vegetable dishes.
