Spies is grown on granite soil. Aged in stainless steel only. Ripe pear and lime marmalade on the nose with spice too. Rich on the palate, it's got lots of extract for sure, ripe stone fruits, hints of more exotic fruits too with again ripe pear, its minerally and spicy with good acidity. Very young, it's lovely now but even a few months will make a big difference. It's a lovely, quite intense Gruner with so much going on, and crucially a real freshness.
