Kurt Angerer 'Eichenstaude'
From the Kiesling vineyard, it's red gravel with some granite. Aged in large 1500 litre French oak barrels that are 4-5 years old and stainless steel. Perfumed and floral, stone fruits and spice. Big and rich, lovely ripe stone fruits with a creamy mid-palate, textural and spicy, ripe pear on a long finish. Good acidity keeps this amazingly complex Gruner really well balanced. Has just a touch of residual sugar which gives the wine extra depth and length,
