Horst Sauer Escherndorfer Silvaner Lump

Great to have this fantastic producer from the Franken region back in our portfolio. All the wines are excellent, but this really struck me. Years ago we sold this as a Silvaner Spatlese Trocken, now sensibly shortened to S! This is superb.Zesty and fresh, quite tightly wound and minerally with a lovely core of pure crisp fruit and a hint of spice on a long finish. Hints of pineapple and ripe pear with a zesty finish.
