Beau Constantia 'Lucca'
Low yielding vines from very steep slopes are the secret to these wines. Quite floral on the nose with morello cherry, bright berry fruits and subtle spice. Full flavoured with a lovely freshness to it, raspberry, black cherry, black berry, spice and subtle oak. It's really quite vibrant and pure, the tannins are ripe and there is a touch of liquorice on the long finish. Really very good, shame we could not get more of it.... Would go really with lamb in many guises and mediterranean vegetable dishes.
