Thistledown's The Cunning Plan Shiraz 2022 has just picked up Best Shiraz and Best Young Shiraz at the 2023 McLaren Vale Wine Show.

We love these wines. They keep the winemaking simple with The Cunning Plan, taking perfectly balanced fruit, that's picked, gently crushed to preserve whole berries and allowed to soak for four days prior to a wild fermentation. The juice is then pressed off to 300-litre French hogsheads, of which 15% are new, where the wine ages for 10 months prior to bottling unfined and unfiltered.
